Windows Phone SDK Update for 7.8 now available

Microsoft has released the Windows Phone SDK Update for Windows Phone 7.8 this update adds two new Windows Phone 7.8 emulator images to the exisiting SDK installation. Using these images the developer can test how the Windows Phone 7.5 Live tiles will look on a device running Windows Phone 7.8

These two images are:

Windows Phone 7.8 emulator: This OS image emulates your app running on a 512-MB device running Windows Phone 7.8 (build 8858)

Windows Phone 7.8 256MB emulator: This OS image emulates Windows Phone 7.8 (build 8858) running on a 256-MB device

Coolest feature of 7.8 is that it provides option to make the tile smaller as shown in the image.

Also note that any Windows Phone App that is build using this updated Windows Phone SDK still target and run on Windows Phone 7.5, so developers what are you waiting for download this update today.
